Sadly, Quakecon 2022 Will Be Online Only With In-Person Returning In 2023

Hate to say I saw this coming. Mostly because I did not want to be the case. However, Quakecon 2022 will once again be an online-only event. This was announced today via the company’s official Twitter handle. This information can also be found on their official Website as well.

QuakeCon is a yearly convention hosted by ZeniMax Media to celebrate and promote ZeniMax studios’ main franchises. Every year in Dallas, Texas, USA, it comprises a huge, paid, bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) LAN party event with a competitive tournament. Thousands of gamers from all around the world attend the event, which is named after id Software’s game Quake.

Here’s to hoping that the pandemic has calmed so that we can enjoy the event in person safely. In the meantime let’s hope Quakecon 2022 online brings on some excitement.
