It was about a year ago we brought you news of another movie tie-in from Teyon. Previously they gave us Terminator Resistance and the Annihilation Line DLC. Unfortunately for Xbox players, this was PlayStation 5 and PC only. Their next project centered around RoboCop and is called RoboCop: Rogue City. Since then it sort of slipped out of sight.

RoboCop: Rogue City
Dead or alive you’re coming with me. Alex Murphy is back next year

It had as we say been forgotten about until we had a gameplay trailer just recently So we get to see what it’s like to be Officer Alex Murphy.

Also from the trailer, we see that Murphy in RoboCop: Rogue City. Is modeled by none other than Peter Weller. That’s because he reprises the role he made famous back in the original 1987 film by Paul Verhoeven.

RoboCop: Rogue City
I’d buy that for a dollar. We also see the famous ED-209 make a return

RoboCop: Rogue City The Official Line

The official website says the following.

Become the iconic part man, part machine, all cop hero as you attempt to bring justice to the dangerous, crime-ridden streets of Old Detroit. Armed with your trusty Auto-9, factory-built strength, years of experience on the force and a variety of tools at your disposal, you will fight forces seeking to destroy the city you call home in an all new first-person, explosive hunt for the truth. You have the power to decide how to fulfil prime directives in your own way, but as the story unfolds proceed with caution because corruption and greed know no limits.

One familiar face we see in the trailer is the iconic ED-209. So are you ready to jump in to serve the public trust, protect the innocent and uphold the law when RoboCop: Rogue City launches June next year. It is set to come to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Although not listed on the website but it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch as mentioned in the trailer. Though it surprises PlayStation 4 and Xbox One aren’t getting this unless the Switch version is cloud-based.
