If you were waiting for news about a new and polished Splinter Cell remake… I’m sorry, but we still have to wait. While we did mention Ubisoft has plans to resurrect an abandoned franchise… we still don’t have enough knowledge to pinpoint it. Is it Splinter Cell? Is it something else? There’s no clue as of now. Meanwhile, we might get a new sneaky-sneaky game to tickle our stealthy pickle. Enter Project TH. You may not know this upcoming game was originally revealed back in 2022. So let’s introduce or reintroduce you to it. Below is the trailer we saw back in November 2022.
The game is currently in development by EVR Studio and it’s based on the Moomdang webtoon. What can you expect from the story? “Project TH sets scenes in the Unified Nation of Korea in the near future”. How does this have anything to do with Splinter Cell? Pure Xbox noticed a similar vibe and stealth feel to that of the Ubisoft title in the recent video diaries for the game (Viewer Warning: these videos contain a lot of graphic violence). What looks like a shooter at first is being described as a “third-person, interactive action-adventure game” which utilizes “state-of-the-art digital human technology”.
When And Where We Will See Project TH – The Release Details
The Splinter Cell remake and Project TH are similar in one way for sure: we don’t have much info about either of them. We only know that the latter is planned to release on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5 according to the game’s official website. If you’re an Xbox Game Pass owner, it’s confirmed that you’ll have access to it on its release day. And if you’re a fellow PS Plus subscriber… we don’t know if it’ll be part of its monthly additions. The official release date is yet to be revealed. We only know that Kotaku has the game listed as coming this year, on 30th December. Again, please take this info with a grain of salt until we have official confirmation.
