French independent publisher SUPER AC has released an official trailer for Prohibeast to celebrate its selection for the Games Made in France 2025 festival. Set in 1930s Chicago during the height of Prohibition, players will step into the shoes of Eliot Ness and his team of Untouchables to take down the nefarious Al Capone and his criminal empire. Sounds pretty solid so far? Prohibeast is aptly named because this is set in an alternate anthropomorphic version of the 1930s! I love a good pun, so I chuckled hard when I saw an advertisement for The Wizard of Oztrich during the reveal trailer.

Prohibeast is a real-time tactical infiltration game in a similar vein to the iconic Commandos franchise.
- Infiltration & Strategy: Each mission offers numerous ways to achieve your goals. The reveal trailer showed a couple of segments where one of your team members could distract guards while the other silently takes them out. There was also a brief showing of shoot outs so I assume you can take a more direct approach.
- Sharp-sensed enemies: Again, because this is an anthropomorphic universe, your opponents will have keen eyesight, acute hearing, and a strong sense of smell. This was showcased with a green radius for the guards.
- Specialist team: You get to lead the iconic Untouchables, each with unique and complementary skills. You start with a team of Eliot Ness, Malone B. Clonan, and Frank E. Eager for a mix of tactical expertise, heavy hitters, and snipers. Additional specialists will join to help refine your preferred approach.
- Iconic locations: Infiltrate some of the most famous sights of Chicago – The Loop, the Mayor’s Mansion, the Lake Michigan docks, and more.
Prohibeast is set to release on PC by the end of 2025. It’s now available to wishlist on Steam and you can also visit the game page on the SUPER AC website.
