Pragmata And Hellblade 2 – Where Are They?

Pragmata

Let’s take a trip back to the lead up of the current generation of gaming hardware. The Xbox Series X/S was the first console to be fully revealed, with Sony following suit shortly after with the PlayStation 5. While a few games were confirmed for both consoles, we’ve mostly been updated on the stages of development for most titles, with the exception of a couple. Today, we’ll focus on two of these titles: Capcom’s Pragmata and Hellblade 2 by Ninja Theory. It’s worth noting that we won’t be discussing Black Myth Wukong in this article, as it deserves a piece of its own.

Since its initial announcement at the Game Awards in 2019, we’ve seen more of Hellblade 2, with a gameplay reveal at the same event in 2021. However, given that the game was announced over three years ago, and gameplay was shown nearly fifteen months ago, some fans have been eagerly anticipating further updates. The recent Developer Showcase seemed like the perfect opportunity for Ninja Theory to provide an update, especially since Bethesda announced that Starfield would be getting its own event. Nevertheless, much to the disappointment of fans, there was no update on Senua’s upcoming adventure.

Similarly, Capcom’s recent event didn’t feature any news about Pragmata, adding to the anticipation for any updates on this mysterious title. One thing we do know is that both Hellblade 2 and Pragmata will be utilizing the Unreal Engine 5. Hopefully, we’ll get some more information on both games soon.

Now For Pragmata

We have an announcement trailer posted on the PlayStation YouTube channel which can be seen below. However it isn’t just coming to PlayStation, it also has an Xbox Store listing.

So when we look at the description it says “Announcing Pragmata, a brand new game from Capcom, now in development for PlayStation 5 launching in 2022“. A year later we got a Sorry from Capcom. We are now into 2023 and we’ve heard nothing of note since. The Xbox listing just says 2023. They offer this as the following description.

Pragmata is an all-new action adventure title that depicts a near-future dystopian world on the moon through a deeply profound story and setting. The game will take full advantage of next-generation platform features, and as a completely new IP for Capcom, the company aims to establish Pragmata as one of its core brands. Pragmata is planned to release in 2023, with more details on the game’s content and release timing forthcoming.

We are eagerly waiting for updates on two highly anticipated game titles. State of Decay 3 is another game that we are excited to hear about, but for now, the second installment is still receiving strong support from the developers. We hope to receive more information about these titles soon.
