We are just about done with the E3 period which was replaced this year again by Summer Games Fest and It’s still too early to tell if this will be the new norm. However, we are not far away from this year’s Gamescom which is going to be close to what we’ve come to normally expect. This time, people can actually return to the event.
We’ve already seen Nintendo isn’t attending the event this August. Now another name has announced they won’t be at Gamescom this year. So after Nintendo, Activision Blizzard, and Take-Two Interactive, it seems we can add PlayStation to the list. This news came from Games Wirtschaft.

Let’s look at how the Covid pandemic affected the world and how things have changed. It’s changed to a more online focus, such as going for meals and having very little human interaction. It’s a reasonable train of thought. Microsoft uploaded demos for games like Lake and Tunic to the Xbox storefront. We also saw the rise of events like Ubisoft Forward. As for Gamescom itself, Gamescom Opening Night Live is on August 23rd.
