As part of a recent State of Play, Sony has more announcements. PlayStation announced what’s coming to the PlayStation Plus Essential and Extra service next month. Slightly earlier than we normally get. State of Play made perfect timing to bring the announcement forward briefly. So let’s look at the upcoming additions to PlayStation Plus starting with what was the monthly PlayStation Plus titles and is now PlayStation Plus Essentials. These games will be available from 7th March.
- Battlefield 2042 (PlayStation 4/5)
- Minecraft: Dungeons (PlayStation 4)
- Code Vein (PlayStation 4)
Battlefield 2042 is already available on Game Pass Ultimate with the EA Play service. It’s still in need of player support and even after its disastrous launch isn’t great. However, on the other side, it’s a lot better than it was at launch as I occasionally play with friends who love the game. With the drama over Activision with Sony and Microsoft on different pages, it’s interesting to see a Microsoft studios game included. That being Minecraft: Dungeons.
What Comes With PlayStation Plus Essential And Extra
So far we only have a few titles but more games could be added to the PlayStation Plus Essential And Extra tiers.
- Tchia (PlayStation 4/5)
- Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection (PlayStation 5)
- Immortals Fenyx Rising (PlayStation 4/5)
- Rainbow Six Extraction (PlayStation 4/5)
- Ghostwire: Tokyo (PlayStation 5)
Tchia will come as we see on the PlayStation Blog when it launches on 21st March. It’s also one I’m interested in trying out. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection we know is the remaster of Uncharted 4 and Lost Legacy. Ghostwire: Tokyo may well launch on the anniversary of the launch similar to Deathloop. That’s also when the year’s exclusive rights end and could be included on Game Pass. All this information and more is seen in the State of Play presentation.
