Horror fans especially on PC will know of a certain title Phasmophobia. Earlier this year we brought news of a Phasmophobia console release. For those not on PC, you may be unaware of what this game is all about. So let’s bring you up to speed with some information about the game itself. The game is a paranormal horror game available on Steam now and supports up to four players. You will play as part of a team of ghost hunters needing to use all their skills and equipment to gather evidence of ghosts.
The studio responsible for the game is a UK studio for Southampton on the South Coast of England. Kinetic Games launched the PC version nearly three years ago now and the Phasmophobia console port was set to launch in August. However, at the time of writing, we are under a week left in the month with no release date in sight. So fans are asking, where is the game?
The Phasmophobia Console Release Latest News
The developers have spoken out on Twitter/X. Sadly it’s another game delayed. However in this case it looks like a delay forced upon Kinetic Games with a situation they had no control over.
Due to a recent fire incident in our office building and unpredicted development issues, our ability to test and develop has been significantly impacted. After careful consideration we have made the tough decision to delay the console release, initially set for August, while we get everything sorted.
We are now aiming for a special launch during the week leading up to Halloween this October. This gives us the needed time to perfect and fine-tune everything. Your patience and understanding mean everything to us, and we can’t wait to bring Phasmophobia to consoles.
This means the end of October is a treat for horror fans. We will have Phasmophobia, Alan Wake 2, Alone in the Dark, and The Bridge Curse: Road to Salvation console release coming. All of these potentially launching on the same week as well. Remember we also have no release date for the remake of Silent Hill 2 or Stray Souls.
