You may be familiar with the Outbreak franchise. These are a series of old-school survival horror games. Fans of Resident Evil will no doubt know of them if they haven’t played one or two of them already. They have several games in the series by Dead Drop Studios LLC. There is another title on the list with no release date Outbreak: Shades of Horror which is a Kickstarter title. At the time of writing it has $77,597 pledged of its $62,500 goal. The game also has 425 backers. So what is the game about exactly? We look at Steam and we find it’s a co-op survival horror. It takes inspiration from the early years of the millennium. As for the release date for Outbreak: Shades Of Horror we have no idea. However, there is a playable demo to try out. I did run through the game demo on PlayStation 5 last year. I felt we needed to see more but there was a promise. However, this isn’t the only upcoming game inspired by that era of survival horror.
