Nobody Wants To Die – A First Look And Impressions

Nobody Wants To Die

You may have missed one game reveal from earlier this year. The game in question was the Sci-Fi-themed Nobody Wants To Die. The game was set to launch on PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5. It was one that caught my eye immediately due to the striking presentation. Since then it was a game that closer to launch we little bits of gameplay. However now the game is out and here is a, first look at the title captured on a PlayStation 5.

Nobody Wants To Die is according to store listings a “noir adventure set in an alternate future of New York City in 2329” . You play as Detective James Karra who is hunting a serial killer who is hunting the elite citizens of New York. This is also a time when technology is able to transfer the human consciousness from one body to another. Consequently, this if affordable means humans are able to live an eternal life.

How Nobody Wants To Die Plays

The game has been developed by Critical Hit Games who we see from the studio’s website are a Polish studio and this is their debut title. Let’s have a look at some of the gameplay below.

The first thing for a debut game is the presentation. The game looks detailed and does an excellent job of capturing a dark take on a future New York. Though it may not come as any surprise to hear the developers have taken advantage of Unreal Engine 5.

The game mechanics work really well and so far the story seems well written and is an engaging narrative. You want to continue on to find out more. The puzzles are not overly complex though the evidence board could use a little more clarity. Overall the first impressions after a few hours are the game looks and plays really well. It is a studio with a bright future ahead of them. It’s also a period in the detective game seemingly making a return with the team behind LA Noire seemingly working on something new.
