Today’s Nintendo Direct came with a plethora of announcement’s both big and small. Perhaps one of the coolest was the announcement of the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection. That’s right, the long-awaited collection will soon slash its way to all platforms.
Koei Tecmo has graced us, by announcing that the brutal, action series, dubbed Ninja Gaiden Master Collection, will return with a bang. The package includes three of Ryu Hayabusa’s most iconic adventures. Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. The package also contains a few added bonuses. For example, most of the DLC’s, post-launch modes, and a Nioh collaboration.
Aside from that, this doesn’t look like the most in-depth re-release. As in, if you’re hoping for a smoother frame rate, higher fidelity, you may be out of luck. As the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection seems like a mere port of these 3 titles.
That might sound like a tough pill to swallow for many. Especially when you can access these games through PC and backward compatibility that may give better performance. Depending on the asking price, this could be a tough sell for gamers. Either way, seeing the return of Ryu, is more than exciting.
Who knows? Maybe this will test the waters to gauge interest in the franchise.
