New Gameplay Trailer for Dark Souls-like Lies of P Showcases Stylish Combat and Haunting World Ahead of September Launch
The highly anticipated action RPG Lies of P has dropped a stylish new gameplay trailer ahead of its September 19 release date. Developed by NEOWIZ and inspired by the classic tale of Pinocchio, Lies of P brings players to the Belle Epoque-inspired city of Krat, now transformed into a living nightmare filled with deadly puppets and plagued by disease.
The latest trailer, titled “How Many Lies?”, gives eager fans a deeper look at Lies of P’s intense combat, elaborate environments, and terrifying enemies. It also echoes the game’s central narrative theme of lies and deception through the questions posed by a mysterious narrator. Players take on the role of the puppet P as he fights through Krat on a journey to become human and find his creator, Geppetto.
Lies of P features graceful real-time combat that allows players to customize P’s fighting style. The city of Krat serves as an intricate, interconnected setting to explore. Key enemies include disturbing puppets brought to life by dark forces. The more lies P tells on his quest for humanity, the more human he will become. But in a world where nothing is as it seems, who can really be trusted?
Gamers can pre-order Lies of P now to receive exclusive in-game outfits and masks as bonuses. The Standard Edition comes with the “Mischievous Puppet’s Set” outfit, while the Deluxe Edition also includes the “Great Venigni’s Set” outfit and mask. Pre-ordering digitally provides early access three days before launch. Physical editions come in a collectible SteelBook case with a 92-page artbook.
Lies of P launches on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam on September 19, 2023. The dark action-RPG is rated Mature and will retail for $59.99 (Standard) and $69.99 (Deluxe). NEOWIZ aims to provide an elegant but challenging Souls-like experience set in a rich, unsettling world this September. The latest trailer highlights Lies of P’s standout qualities and teases its macabre tale of a puppet seeking humanity through lies and violence.
