MyTeam is the card collecting game mode where you build your dream squad, and compete online against other players. Think of it kind of like EA’s Ultimate Team mode, but with NBA 2K’s own spin on it.
This is huge news because now you can mix and match players in ways we’ve only dreamed about before. Imagine Paige Bueckers and Kevin Durant dominating on the wing, or Caitlin Clark teaming up with Steph Curry to rain threes in the backcourt. Fans will finally get the chance to create lineups that combine the very best from both leagues Opening up endless possibilities and tons of fun matchups.
One of the best parts about this update is that the cards will be balanced so that WNBA and NBA players feel equal on the court. That means gameplay will be fair, smooth, and exciting no matter which roster you build. This is something WNBA fans have been asking 2K to do for a while, and it’s a great step forward. Hopefully, the next step will be letting WNBA players be a bigger part of MyCareer mode, fully integrated alongside NBA players.
NBA 2K26 is also introducing a brand-new feature called WNBA Domination. This special mode is exclusive to WNBA cards and lets you build a squad of WNBA superstars to take on teams across the league. Every win earns you Domination stars and crests that unlock new rewards. It’s another way to show off your skills while celebrating the growing presence of women’s basketball in the game.
But the changes don’t stop there! Another exciting addition this year is the debut of Game Changer Cards. These are a new type of card that give you more control over your MyTeam experience. As someone who usually spends most of my time in MyCareer mode, I can honestly say this year feels different. The updates to MyTeam are too good to ignore. With WNBA players finally being a real part of the action, I’ll definitely be logging more hours in MyTeam. NBA 2K26 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and inclusive versions of the game yet.
