Naughty Dog is a name many gamers know well regardless of the platform they play on. Their catalog includes classic titles such as Jak and Daxter to Crash Bandicoot. More recently we have seen the debut of Nathan Drake in the Uncharted franchise, now also a major movie with Tom Holland. They also brought us a post-apocalyptic saga which is also becoming a TV series for HBO The Last of Us. The most recent entry is the remake of the first game which the review can be read here. There also may be the standalone multiplayer title Factions 2 on the way which is reported to be free to play.

Naughty Dog hasn’t given much information as yet on this release. Though something else could be in the works from them, as yet we don’t have much information to go on. VCG reported some information they were made aware of that indicated a new project is looking likely to be in the works. So, let’s look a little deeper and see what this all has to do with the Uncharted developer.

What Naughty Dog Could Be Working On

What we see is Sony is “building a new internal game development team in partnership with PSS Visual Arts”. Now PSS Visual Arts also recently worked on The Last of US Part 1 as well. They also reported the description said the studio was working with Naughty Dog as well. However, the listing seems to have changed since this news broke. So, with that in mind treat everything lightly until something more concrete is available. The original posting is reported to say the new studio was currently “co-developing an exciting new project with Naughty Dog in a beloved franchise.”

So, what could this title be? Cast your minds back to last year, and more specifically an article by Bloomberg. We see that Uncharted was a possible project for collaborative project but instead we saw The Last of Us Part 1. Uncharted though is a loved franchise. We also have Ruben Fleischer, the Director of the Uncharted movie confirming a Jak and Daxter Movie. The Game Awards are not too far away so maybe, just maybe we could get a teaser or announcement then?
