As a player who found most of his joy in single-player games, there’s something special about a multiplayer game that can do both. The original Monster Hunter for the PlayStation 2, while not perfect, introduced a world I could become easily immersed and lose myself in. There was a colossal gap of time where I paid the franchise very little attention because I get the controls felt clunky. The release of Monster Hunter World made the learning curve much more tolerable. Monster Hunter World was the closest to perfect the franchise has ever been. WAS. Until now.
Monster Hunter Rise is an action RPG that will transport players to the colorful Kamura Village, an all-new serene mountain locale that attracts visitors with its unique culture and innovative hunting technologies. After hunters equip their armor and select from one of the various weapon types, all-new hunting grounds await, including the ancient Shrine Ruins and more.
