Whatever your preferred gaming platform, one thing is certain. Even if you’ve never played the game you will most likely be aware of Minecraft. An article by IGN has the block-based survival game as the second biggest-selling game of all time as of just under two years ago. With sales totaling 238 million copies as of April 2021. Sitting at 520 million is Tetris. So the Mojang title is a big big game. Though we did lose Minecraft Earth a couple of years ago the franchise has grown. We have the upcoming Minecraft Legends releasing soon. However, it seems part of the future of the game has leaked online.
There are two versions of Minecraft, we have java, and of course, the version common to most is the main version for PC and consoles. That’s the Bedrock version. It’s the Bedrock version we want to discuss today. Java has mods that can act as an editor to let you quickly edit the world. Unfortunately, no such feature is available in the Bedrock version. Or is there?
What’s A Possible Addition To Minecraft Bedrock Edition
Leaked footage has appeared of a world editor mode. Nothing unusual as leaked footage is common. However, this mode isn’t announced. It’s a mode rumored to be added to the game in the future, however.
So it seems this mode is seemingly allowing editing of the world as it’s played by creating structures for example. A tool that would be handy for content creators creating a custom world. A lot of custom worlds, for example, are originally created on Java which allows a much larger world editing option than we can do manually.
We’ve even seen examples of this being found in the game’s code.
