In December, we reported on the potential release window for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, one of the most highly anticipated sequels in recent memory. Fans will be pleased to know that the wait is almost over, as the game is set to be released in the Fall/Autumn season. The exact release date remains unknown, but it could fall anywhere between September and October. However, September already has a big release with Bethesda’s space RPG, Starfield, so it remains to be seen if Spidey can compete with the latest space adventure. It’s definitely worth keeping an eye on.

As fans of the series will know, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will feature both Peter Parker and Miles Morales, as well as a certain Venom, played by Tony Todd. Last year, Games Radar published an article with a headline that read “Venom doesn’t give a damn,” a quote attributed to Todd. Given a recent leak, it’s possible that Todd himself doesn’t care either. Or does he?

The tweet was deleted however, we were able to grab what said is about the game’s launch. He claims that it “looks like September! Massive publicity coming in august. Commercials start dropping in august so I’m told. Hold on to your … and hold breath! Gonna be necessary”. Consequently, someone higher up clearly saw this as Tony put out a second tweet.

Although the exact launch date for this game is still unknown, a September launch is not completely impossible. Your opinions on this development are welcome, and we invite you to share them with us.
