Back in April or more specifically on April Fools, Tripwire Interactive dropped news of DLC for their shARkPG Maneater. Maneater Truth Quest was given a skeptical glance, probably not helped by the date of reveal. And nothing more has been said of the DLC, until now.
If you are unsure of what is included in the DLC then we have a list of changes and additions below and now we have a release date for the new content.
When is it coming out
Truth Quest will be available in August 31st so not too far away. We do know new content is coming and Chris Parnell. It will also be made available to all consoles except the Nintendo Switch. PC owners can grab it from Steam or Epic Games Store
What do we know about it?
The official release on the Tripwire Interactive website states that Truth Quest will:
Take players down the rabbit hole of dark secrets and conspiracies surrounding Port Clovis and the Naval Wildlife Organization (NWO).
Chris Parnell’s character Trip Westhaven is also featuring as well as a shark who needs to once more “Eat, Explore and Evolve their way to the top of the food chain.” We are also getting a new location and creatures and our shark’s evolution is not over it seems.
Maneater: Truth Quest DLC takes players to a brand-new island off the coast of Port Clovis – and comes packed with new evolutions, challenges, wildlife, and more!
What are the full features?
Tripwire has listed them as the following:
New Evolutions
- New Evolution Set
- Maximum level cap increased to 40
- Five new organ evolutions with one additional organ slot unlocked at level 35 (requires DLC ownership)
New Wildlife

How much is it?
The original announcement gave a price point. For those who missed that, the DLC will cost $14.99 / £12.99. And for those who are unsure and want to test the water on this, the new content has you covered. There is a free pilot episode that’s 10-15 minutes long. It shows some of the new objectives and gives a taste of things to come.
Those on PlayStation 5 may have already downloaded the game earlier this year. As we know the native PS5 release was given free with the January PS Plus games. However, sadly this didn’t include the PlayStation 4 release.
