LG has unveiled its gamer-focused OLED TV, the LG OLED Flex (model LX3), the world’s first bendable 42-inch OLED screen. The LX3 can be completely flat or curved (900R), allowing users to decide their preferred viewing experience.
With a press of a button on the TV remote with two available presets, the LG OLED Flex can automatically bend into its curved mode, or owners of the TV can manually adjust the TV. The LX3 features five percent increments of adjustments with over 20 different degree levels. Furthermore, the LX3 can be titled 10 degrees upwards or away 5 degrees from the user, along with a height-adjustable stand.
LG promises lightning-fast response time and low input lag, which would benefit gamers. In addition, the LX3 supports Dolby Vision gaming at 4K 120hz, HDMI 2.1 for variable refresh rates (VRR), and auto low latency mode (ALLM). Finally, the LX3 is a gamer’s TV, with LG marketing its Gaming Dashboard menu, where users can resize the image, which is relevant for FPS gamers that prefer smaller screens when playing. This resize feature allows users to resize the image to 32- or 27-inches.
The LX3 exclusive Game app supports custom screensavers and shortcuts to Twitch and Youtube. Additionally, the LX3’s Multi-View mode gives access to view content from two different sources simultaneously. This will allow owners to watch their favorite Twitch streamer while gaming at the same time.
LG has not given a price or release date for the LX3. Once there is more information available, we will update this story.
