The Last of Us is undoubtedly one of Playstation’s most praised titles and it has long been speculated to be getting a remake. This rumor has persisted for months now following the launch of The Last of Us part 2 back in 2020. Now, however, we finally got an official announcement as Naughty Dog revealed the Last of Us part 1 remake.

The remake goes far beyond even the simple upscale they did for the remastered version that was released on the PS4. Completely rebuilt from the ground up for the PS5 and PC, we are given plenty of scenes to look at. The remake looks absolutely stunning in 4K utilizing the new engine that was used for Part 2.

This remake looks like an exact one to one of the original, so for those who never played the original; or for fans who want to play it on next-gen hardware. Now is the chance to relive one of the PS3’s most loved titles all over again.

The Last of Us part 1 is set to launch this year on September 2nd. It will also be available on PC, however, there is no date set for that version just yet. Are you excited for the remake, did y’all ever play the original. Let us know in the comments below.
