Originally due this summer is Kena: Bridge of Spirits for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It’s an action-adventure game by indie studio Ember Lab. This was revealed to a positive response last year at the PlayStation Future of Gaming event.
What is it about?
You play as Kena, a young spirit guide. She is blessed with the ability to aid lost souls to move from the physical to the spirit world. And for the game style, it’s a third-person action-adventure
How much is it?
Most AAA games launch around the $60-70 price point but Kena is an indie title treated like a AAA release. It looks as polished and as vivid as the title of that standard but is priced at $40. This is a nice surprise for an eagerly awaited title, especially with so many games coming between now and the end of the year.
So it’s coming soon?
It was due 24th August though news broke on Twitter earlier today that this has changed. Ember Lab have said they “have made the difficult decision to delay the release of Kena to September 21st to polish the game across all platforms”
So like a few other titles, Kena has been hit with a delay, though it has not been as bad as Ubisoft with Rainbow Six Extraction or Capcom with Resident Evil Re:Verse. The current Covid 19 pandemic is not helping matters. As we know game delays are to be expected but even more so in troublesome times.
