A few years ago, Game Pass added a simulation game centered on theme park management, featuring prehistoric reptiles as the main draw. Jurassic World Evolution, the game received a sequel – Jurassic World Evolution 2 – from the esteemed software development company Frontier Developments. The creators recently revealed a fresh batch of downloadable content (DLC) for the sequel. Given the game’s primary theme of park management set in the thrilling Jurassic Park / Jurassic World universe, it is unsurprising that the DLC would comprise additional dinosaur species.
Now the question is, what dinosaurs have been added? If you’re wondering there’s a lot to choose from. According to National Geographic, you could in theory as time goes by have a lot of content. The University of Oslo researchers Jostein Starrfelt and Lee Hsiang Liow felt “the heyday of the dinosaurs saw the comings and goings of about 1,936 different species”. Don’t worry as there has been an official count. This was done in 2015 and “648 valid genera and 675 species of Mesozoic dinosaur, including birds”.
The New Jurassic World Evolution 2 DLC Contains …
The DLC includes feathered dinosaurs, some of which are friendly while others are not. The wait is almost over, as it is scheduled to be available for download on May 30th, barring any last-minute changes. The DLC is referred to as the Feathered Species Pack on the store. The offering has four unique species: Yutyrannus, Jeholopterus, Deinocheirus, and Sinosauropteryx.
The DLC costs $7.99 in the United States, £5.99 in the United Kingdom, and €7.99 in Europe.
