Last Summer we got a next-gen upgrade for Respawn Entertainment’s popular Star Wars title, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. We also know a sequel is planned thanks to confirmation in January. However, since then both EA and Respawn have said nothing about a Jedi: Fallen Order sequel. Rumors aside any news on that is likely to happen in what would be the E3 period. However, it could also happen next month when the Star Wars Celebration takes place.
Moreover, Jeff Grubb from VentureBeat and his Grubbsnax podcast are back in the action. So, VGC has transcribed the latest installment of his show and it gives some interesting reading. Now let’s look a little deeper and see what he’s said about this Jedi: Fallen Order sequel from Respawn.
Potential 2023 Release For Jedi: Fallen Order Sequel
He claims Respawn Entertainment is targeting a launch for next year. He also said they had aimed to launch this year and now that isn’t happening. Also, a 2023 launch means no last-gen versions will happen.
Star Wars Jedi 2 is going to be new-gen only, where it’s PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and then of course PC.
One of the reasons that they’re going to be able to do that is because it’s not coming out until 2023. This game is for sure now not coming out until 2023.VGC transcription of the podcast by Jeff Grubb
This sequel could be officially revealed later next month as well. We know the Star Wars Celebration is at the end of May. It is also reported to be dropping the Fallen Order from the title. So could we be seeing the rise of a new Jedi Order? Were you a fan of Fallen Order? Whatever your thoughts, we’d love to hear from you. So why not get in touch and tell us what you think, we’d love your input.
