The New Year is here and it is time to see what’s going on in Pokemon Go. For the month of January expect some cool events.
To start off 2021 players will see Chansey in their breakthrough research for the month. That starts at 1 PM on the first and ends on February 1st at 1 PM. For players that are looking to find some of those legendary Pokemon in Raids, this month is looking great. Here is a list of the upcoming raids, these times are set in the player’s local time.
- Ho-Oh – 1st, 1 PM to 5th at 10 AM
- Genesect – 5th, 10 AM to 12th, 10 AM
- Heatran – 12th, 10 AM to 19th, 10 AM
- Kyogre and Groudon 19th, 10 AM to 26th, 10 AM
- Mysterious Pokemon – 26th, 10 AM
Players will also see Mega-Evolved Pokemon raids. They will be Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blastoise, and Mega Abomasnow to start the month off. Then Mega Venusaur and Mega Houndoom and a mysterious Pokemon will be showing up after the 19th.
Starting on the 5th players will see more Unova Pokemon around. This celebration of Pokemon is in preparation for the Pokémon GO Tour: Kanto. That’s in February when all of the Kanto Pokemon will be available to catch. This includes their shiny counterparts. Some for the first time.
Later in January players will be able to catch the first Community day Pokemon. I’ll cover that as it gets closer to the 16th.
As I write this some locations have already seen these events start. Hopefully, this has been a great start to 2021 for you. I can’t wait to see what Niantic has in store for Pokemon Go. Take a moment to bookmark Lv1gaming.com for all of your gaming news.
