We recently talked about Hotel Renovator a new simulator-type game on the scene. This game will appeal to fans of more renovation and decoration-type games like House Flipper. I have put numerous amount of hours into it on Xbox and Steam releases. Hotel Renovator is a different simulator that will likely be appealing to House Flipper aficionados. If you’re wondering when you can get it, it’s available now on Steam. Therefore being a huge fan of House Flipper and games of that type I pre-ordered and waited to try it out. With the tutorial prologue completed, I have a good idea of how the game plays, and how it looks. You already know how it looks if you’ve seen the trailer that was presented when it was revealed it. Focus Entertainment and Two Horizons collaborated to create this game.
You can choose between a campaign mode and a story mode when playing the game. Although similar features are offered in other games in the genre like Home Flipper and Building Simulator, this is not unusual. You’ll notice how nice the room appears when you’re free and have to refurbish it. The Unreal Engine is used by Hotel Renovator as well, and they did a great job with it. Though I did run into a small issue of having a light source in a room when I had removed the light. Maybe that’s a design choice so you can always see what you’re doing. It’s not a huge issue but just something I noticed when playing. In House Flipper you get a flashlight so I don’t know if that’s a change Two Horizons could implement. For the gameplay screens, let’s have a look below:

The screenshots up above demonstrate how simple it is to produce something entirely different. How simple would it be to create so many different looks. I captured part of the game’s functions as well as the initial stages of transforming the room into a place you’d want to remain.
The game is actually easy to pick up and play and you have prompts and guides to help you along the way. The actual user interface is very easy to navigate and you’re soon going to create something magical from the run-down mess you walked into. With the game also coming to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S at some point, I might return after those releases to see how it runs on a console. This will seem plausible to me if you consider how Age of Empires 2 was converted to the Xbox and how Anno 1800 is currently available on consoles. In addition, I anticipate Hotel Renovator’s switch from PC to console to be seamless. After spending some time playing and studying the game, I’m amazed and eager to play it again. This is definitely worth a look for enthusiasts of the genre.
