For those playing Horizon Forbidden West, you’ll have begun to playthrough Aloy’s adventures as well as explore a pretty vast environment with plenty to do and lots to explore. However, we’ve yet to hear of any Forbidden West DLC being discussed. Of course, the game is still very new even by today’s hurried standards. So let’s take a second to talk about the last game’s expansion.
Zero Dawn’s DLC was The Frozen Wilds and it was a fairly decent expansion with a decent amount of content and fans of the game will no doubt enjoy it. In terms of Forbidden West DLC, could we see similarities? Looking deeper it appears the answer is yes.
More of the Forbidden West could be on the cards
There is a video standards rating board in the UK called the VSC Rating Board. They are the “statutory body which rates video games in the UK”. Now they highlight the inclusion of an online storefront in the game. The PEGI rating had the following description:
“This game offers players the opportunity to connect to their storefront, where they can purchase subsequent DLC expansions, which some parents or carers may want to be aware of. Parents, carers, or other responsible adults should check to see what is being offered before making any purchase on behalf of a child. It should be noted that the game can still be played without the need to purchase such items.”
This is a complete contrast to the game menu. Theres no store front on the menu whatsoever. So why mention it if it doesn’t exist? The most logical option is we have no Forbidden West DLC yet. Therefore when it’s available we will likely see changes. The games menu will be updated accordingly. What do you think about this news? Would you welcome more of the Forbidden West? Have you had any issues since the recent update? We’d love to hear from you!
