It wasn’t long ago the TV adaptations for Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War were announced along with the movie adaptation for Gran Turismo. We have a brief idea of what to expect from a Gran Turismo movie but with the TV adaptations little is known. However, we have a title for Horizon which is Horizon 2074.

Jeff Grubb has spotted some details on the upcoming Horizon 2074 additionally this was also covered by VGC. The information was spotted on the website of the Directors Guild of Canada Ontario. According to Grubb, the series is set over a couple of timelines.

The show as pitched right now is called Horizon 2074 and it will split its time between the timeline you see in the games and the timeline of when things begin to fall

The idea is that this is not a reboot or a remake or sort of a reimagining of the game’s storyline. It will take place parallel and sort of explain other elements that happened in the game.

What Jeff Grubb said on Horizon 2074

Horizon 2074 And What Else We Know

Thanks to the Directors Guild posting we have an idea of the crew involved. We have some notable names.

  • Jack Boem – First Assistant Director who worked on The Boys and Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City
  • Michele Brady – Art Director with credits such as Saw 2 and The Expanse

Hopefully, we can get some more information on this and the other adaptations soon. What do you think about this news? Would you have preferred a series based on the adventures of Aloy? Or would a prequel be more beneficial to explain how humanity fell prior to the events of Zero Dawn?
