Fast-Paced Roguelike FPS Holy Shoot Launches into Steam Early Access on July 30
Istanbul-based indie studio Tale Era Interactive has announced that its upcoming title Holy Shoot will enter Early Access on Steam starting July 30, 2025. The game is a fast-paced roguelike first-person shooter set in a satirical version of Hell, where players take on demonic manifestations of the Seven Deadly Sins.
Players step into the role of a recruit in The Order of the Sanctum, an organization on a mission to retrieve seven ancient relics from powerful demon lords. With procedurally generated levels, scaling difficulty, and randomized upgrades, Holy Shoot aims to deliver a varied and replayable FPS experience wrapped in stylized visuals and irreverent humor.
A Satirical Spin on Hell and Combat
Holy Shoot combines roguelite mechanics with arena-style FPS gameplay. Each run features unique combat encounters and tactical objectives across rooms designed to test both reflexes and strategic decision-making. While the action is intense, the tone remains tongue-in-cheek, embracing a playful take on themes like sin, chaos, and damnation.
According to Tale Era Interactive CEO Erhan Taskin, the Early Access release will allow the studio to involve players directly in shaping the game’s future.
“Holy Shoot is the result of months of testing, failing, and laughing our way to something that finally clicked,” said Taskin. “Launching on Early Access lets us bring the community into that process and build the ultimate version of the game together.”
Core Features:
- Roguelite Systems: Procedural level design, escalating difficulty, and randomized loot
- Dynamic Combat: Room-based encounters with tactical objectives and enemy variety
- Elemental Powers & Upgrades: Enhance your character through branching upgrade paths and environmental interactions
- Persistent Progression: Progress through the game’s central hub, known as The Sanctum
- Stylized Presentation: A distinctive art style mixed with dark comedy and satirical worldbuilding
Tale Era Interactive is planning to use Early Access to refine gameplay balance, expand content, and respond to community feedback. The game is currently available to wishlist on Steam.
