LV1 Gaming got the opportunity to go to Seattle, Washington, and cover PAX West 2026. There were board games, pin trading, beer gardens, and, of course, plenty of video games. One of the titles that stood out to the team is the upcoming hand-drawn cute/creepy game, The Grimm Reapress And The Drearytale Monster. Developed by NIS and published by NIS America, this upcoming adventure game combines action and storybook elements, putting you in the shoes of a girl on a quest to cure her sister of a deadly disease. Paper Mortis is a disease ravaging the land and turning people into picture books. Mono’s (protagonist) older sister has contracted paper mortis, and now she must team up with a monster who wants to destroy humanity to save her.
The legendary monster Mar and the lonely yet heroic Mono team up to find a cure for Paper Mortis. You can watch almost 15 minutes of gameplay from the PAX West showfloor below.
