The tone for this “not E3” season has been set by The MIX’s Guerilla Collective 2024 Showcase. The Media Indie Exchange or The MIX just finished its 5th annual showcase. With a focus on indie titles ranging from cozy to pure horror, this showcase provided trailers and gameplay for every gamer. It was a two-hour showcase that featured over 60 indie titles. So let’s jump into a few of the titles that stood out. And of course, we will have a link to the official showcase just in case you missed it live.

The Media Indie Exchange (MIX) is all about the games – created by indies and indie game enthusiasts to provide a casual yet professional setting for developers to showcase their projects to top journalists and key folks in the industry.

Wrekless

At first glance, this title looked like Jet Set Radio fused with Tony Hawk Pro Skater. That alone was a big selling point then add in the multiplayer component. Who would have thought that a skateboarding MMO would exist? And one that lets you build your custom skateparks. Wrekless is grinding its way to PC via Epic and Steam in Fall 2024.

Neon Blood

A pixelated 2.5D neon noir action RPG, Neon Blood has you leading the revolution as Detective Axel McCoin. This cyberpunk turn-based experience is developed by ChaoticBrain Studios and published by Meridiem Games. When it launches it will be available on PC via Steam, PS4/PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch.

Five Nights At Freddy’s Into The Pit

From the start, the live stream chat was begging for Five Nights at Freddy’s Into The Pit. The origin story of FNAF will be told in a 2D pixelated point-and-click adventure format. But based on the trailer the game will still be just as terrifying. Developed and published by Mega Cat Studios, the same team that made Wrestlequest and Coffee Crisis. There is no official release window but you can go and wishlist it now on Steam.

Post Trauma

Post Trauma looks like a modern love letter to the original Resident Evil. Developed by Red Soul Games and published by Raw Fury, this title has you fighting for your life and sanity in an alternate reality. With the power of Unreal Engine 5 and fixed camera angles, Post Trauma will create memorable gameplay. There is no official release date but this title is coming to PC and console make sure to wishlist it now.

Setting The Tone

The Guerrilla Collective Showcase 2024, came out the gate swinging. providing plenty of gameplay trailers from all genres. The host and head of The MIX Justin Woodward did an amazing job of not wasting the viewer’s time. They were even offering a chance to win games through a QR code giveaway. This was definitely a great start to the Summer Games Showcase Season or “Not E3”. There were over 60 games showcased so make sure to watch the replay and go wishlist some upcoming indies.
