Gotham Knights Gets New Gameplay While The Last Gen Version Gets Cancelled

The Arkham Origins team is back with another game set in the Gotham City universe. Batman, on the other hand, is no longer alive. As a result, the story is passed on to Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, and Red Hood, who are attempting to protect Gotham. So, let us reintroduce you to the world of Gotham Knights, a co-op adventure game. We have some exciting news to share with you today.

The first piece of information is a new look at gameplay. This is a thirteen-minute gameplay demo of Red Hood and Nightwing as they try to uncover the mystery of the Court of Owls. The trailer ends on an intriguing note that confirms a rumor.

Gotham Knights Last Gen Release. Where It Stands Today

The trailer has dropped the reference to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Just a few days ago, we reported the game had been rated. However, this appeared to be only for the new consoles. Now a statement from Warner Bros has been reported by The Verge and it confirms last-gen versions are canceled. The statement from Warner Bros as reported reads as follows

To provide players with the best possible gameplay experience, the game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC and will not be available for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One consoles.

Gotham Knights due in October but no longer coming to Xbox One or PlayStation 4

The official website has listed three editions. We have a Standard, Deluxe, and Collectors Edition. So, will you be grabbing it on the 25th of October, or have the canceled last-gen versions affected you? As always, we’d love to hear from you. As we get further into this generation this could be a sign of things to come. Hopefully, the new hardware becomes more accessible by the time developers start focusing completely on the new consoles.
