At today’s Nintendo Direct, gamers received an announcement that the long-awaited GoldenEye 007 Remaster would release on Xbox and Nintendo Switch. The first-person shooter was originally released 0n 1997 and developed by Rare, a studio of Xbox Game Studios.
The classic video game has returned to gaming consoles since the Nintendo 64 era, finally delivering on rumors that date back to 2008. Fans of James Bond and the many franchised games consider GoldenEye the best in the series. The physics in the original game was ahead of its time, but now fps games have shown tremendous leaps in visual effects.
GoldenEye 007. Reloaded. Remastered. Replay.
The remaster will substantially upgrade many features of the original game. Gamers can look forward to drastically improved framerates, 4K resolution, a campaign, supported online game modes, and also a split screen mode for local options. Maybe even better news is that the game will arrive on Xbox Game Pass and Nintendo Switch Online for subscribers. Release date details are unavailable, but I expect a release sooner than later.
On the Xbox, gamers will have a list of achievements to target, which is a draw to many gamers. Joining Xbox Game Pass will allow old-school gamers to enjoy the fun again or for first-timers to experience a classing video game experience. Also, if you own the Rare Replay Collection on Xbox, it will be added to your library for free. The classic will release on the Nintendo Switch; however, subscribers to the online service will receive the game as a part of the program after a long process of waiting for the beloved Nintendo classic.
