Gastly is the July Community Day Pokemon

This weekend Pokemon Go players will have a spooky Community Day. The July Community Day Pokemon is Gastly. This is one of the three Pokemon that was voted by the players. This news was released earlier in the month. Some players like myself need a reminder of upcoming Pokemon Go events. Here are some of the things that will be happening on Sunday, July 19th.

• The event starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 5 p.m. local time
• Evolve Haunter (the evolved form of Gastly) during the event or up to two hours afterward to get a Gengar that knows Shadow Punch.
• Take a few snapshots during Community Day for a surprise
• For $1 players can join the Special Research story: The Great Gastly!

Players can now purchase the Special Research from the in-game store. This community day event will only last this Sunday. So if you don’t have any plans go out and catch some Gastly. The following weekend Pokemon Go Fest 2020. Two days of Pokemon Go activities! Players can either purchase tickets for the weekend or complete all the challenges to enjoy the fest.
