2024 is days away and off the heels of an amazing year for video game releases January 2024 looks to keep up the momentum. Gamers from every genre have something to look forward to releasing next month. Everything from being an attorney to fighting fungus-infected zombies can be expected. So without typing along let’s highlight some standout titles releasing next month.
Palworld (PC)
Who hasn’t experienced the random gloomy idea of which Pokemon Kanto residents eat? Or which one can hold a gun? Palworld, on the other hand, looks to answer those questions and more. This game is a monster-catching, crafting, and survival game that looks to redefine the genre. Many of the creature designs appear to be influenced by another popular Pocket monster game. However, these monsters have weapons and it appears that you can cook them. Tekken 8 (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S)
Tekken 8, continues the franchise with the longest-running video game plot. Bandai Namco developed and produced the game, which will be released on January 26th, 2024. Tekken 8 is a fighting game that appears to be more than just a graphical update; it features a new combat system dubbed “Heat,” which unlocks new movesets. This latest installment of this famous franchise includes stage destructions, new character models, and voice lines. Since the announcement and betas, the fighting game community on social media has been anticipating this game.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (PC, PS5 Switch, Xbox Series X|S)
With Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, the Prince of Persia franchise returns to its sidescrolling roots. This is the first new installment in the franchise since 2010. It was developed and published by Ubisoft. As Sargon, a sword master in the making, you will be manipulating time and space through a magical Persian world. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will be released on all current platforms on January 18, 2024.
Enshrouded (PC)
Developed and published by Keen Games GmbH, Enshrouded is an Open World Survival RPG that will be going into Early Access next month. With thrilling combat such as evading and parrying, as well as huge-scale voxel-based building. This game seeks to appeal to all types of gamers. Enshrouded is also more than just a sandbox game featuring crafting and construction. There is also a story where you are searching for the “Ancient Power of the Flame” Along this journey you will choose your destiny. Early access will go live on January 24, 2024, on PC via Steam.
The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered (PS5)
Abby and Ellie’s incredible, albeit tragic, story is coming to the PlayStation 5. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will include visual improvements as well as complete DualSense Controller support. It will also offer a new roguelike survival mode called No Return. Following the recent success of the HBO miniseries The Last Of Us, this looks to be the best way for people to experience this game for the first time. The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered will release on the PS5 on January 19, 2024.
Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy (PS4, PC, Switch, Xbox One)
The definitive way to object in a digital courtroom will be available on January 25, 2024. Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch. It will feature Ace Attorney Apollo Justice, Ace Attorney Dual Destinies, and Ace Attorney Spirit of Justice in one package. This will include HD graphics and plenty of special bonuses for fans of the series. There will be quality-of-life improvements that include autoplay of dialogue and even chapter selection.
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X)
Ichiban Kasuga is back alongside Yakuza series legend Kazuma Kiryu in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. The dynamic fast-paced RPG battles are back alongside the intense dramatic story that you can expect from this beloved franchise. Japan is not the only place you will be exploring in this upcoming title. Now you will also see what is going on in Hawaii. This new spin on RPGs will be available on all current consoles on January 26, 2024.
