Microsoft’s GamePass subscription service has been in place for several years. currently it is available on both consoles and computers. PlayStation also has a similar tiered system with their PlayStation Plus service. Microsoft’s system, on the other hand, is much more established. Personally, I think both services are excellent. However, when we look at what is available today for both Xbox and PC, we can see the benefits and drawbacks of the service.
Only certain games are available on Game Pass if you subscribe to the service. On the other hand, it’s a diverse and extensive catalog that you hadn’t previously had access to. That’s a good thing considering the options available to those who might new to the Xbox ecosystem.
Game Pass Benefits:
The main one, which is currently unlikely to be available on PlayStation Plus. At launch, all first-party titles will be available. For example, Starfield cam be played completely for free. Many third-party games are also being added to the service. Most notable third party games are Lies of P, A Plague Tale Requiem, and Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, are just some of the titles. All of those titles will be available when the service launches. Cities Skylines 2 will be released alongside the adventure game Jusant, which we recently took an early preview of.
However, there are other games that feature which you may normally avoid. Vampire Survivors, Celeste, and Stardew Valley are a few examples. As well as a result of adding Microsoft Reward quests, you may be encouraged to try a game for a quest. One which you’d never play before, only to discover you enjoy it. These are simply my thoughts on the service. Both Sony and Microsoft’s subscriptions are beneficial to me, but what about you? Are you unsure whether the service is right for you?
