Fans of the upcoming title Forspoken may not be too happy today. Square Enix posted a Tweet today the game receiving another delay. Originally set to launch in May, it was hit with a delay and pushed back to October. However, it seems even that wasn’t enough time to fully get this game finished and polished for release for us to enjoy the journey of Frey Holland.
Back in March we saw a fresh look at gameplay and see what Frey could do. This was provided by Game Informer as it was the cover story for that month’s recent issue. But it seems we’ll have to wait a touch longer for Forspoken to hit our screens.
What Square Enix Had To Say On Forspoken
They posted the news on Twitter revealing the reasons behind the delay.
As a result of ongoing discussions with key partners, we have made the strategic decision to move the launch date of Forspoken to January 24, 2023. All game elements are now complete, and development is in its final polishing phase. We would like to thank you for your continued support and patience on this journey. Your excitement for the game inspires us every day and we cannot wait to share more about Forspoken with you later this summer.
So there we have it, we now have it receiving about a three-month delay. It also seems we’ll see more on the game soon. Was this a game on your radar or was it one you were avoiding? It seems it’s only minor things holding the game back. So hopefully this will be the last delay and we get to play this title come January. As always we’d love to hear from you about this. So why not get in touch and have your say.
