It has been a long time coming. After years of charging gamers via Xbox Live Gold to play free-to-play games, today Free to play actually means free to play on Xbox. In a post via Xbox Wire, Xbox announced that starting today players will no longer need to have access to Xbox Live Gold to play free-to-play games.
