The lands of Athia are set to be revisited by players as Square Enix Ltd has announced the upcoming release of Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust, a new story DLC launching in May. This DLC, available on the PlayStation5 and PC through STEAM, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store, follows the journey of Frey Holland as she attempts to find a way to rid Athia of the Break once and for all. Serving as a prequel to the main game, Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust takes place 25 years prior to the events of Forspoken, and sees Frey following a mysterious voice to a place that transports her to the Purge of the Rheddig – the legendary battle that caused devastation in Athia and drove the Tantas to madness. Alongside Tanta Cinta and a new set of magical abilities, Frey must search for answers and save Athia, as well as herself.
In the upcoming Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC, players will have the opportunity to join forces with Tanta Cinta and engage in epic battles against the Rheddig forces using Frey’s newly-acquired magical abilities. With the ability to unlock fresh combat strategies and execute powerful attack combos, players will have the tools necessary to take on the invading forces. Additionally, the game’s unique, vertically-designed environments will be fully accessible, thanks to Frey’s enhanced parkour abilities, making it possible to scale new heights.
The Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC will launch on May 26, 2023. Players who have purchased the Digital Deluxe edition of Forspoken will enjoy early access to the story DLC from May 23, 2023. Those who only own the main game will have the option of purchasing Forspoken: In Tanta We Trust DLC separately.
