Not too long ago, the anticipated Forspoken had an announcement that it was delayed again. For those unfamiliar, this game tells us the story of Frey Holland which the official website says:
Forspoken follows the journey of Frey, a young New Yorker transported to the beautiful and cruel land of Athia. In search of a way home, Frey must use her newfound magical abilities to traverse sprawling landscapes and battle monstrous creatures.
It is launching on PC and PlayStation 5, now instead of October coming in January. However, will we see a Forspoken Xbox release anything soon?
Forspoken On Xbox. What This Delay Means
It is seemingly a PlayStation 5 timed exclusive. So this delay means Xbox owners have a while longer to wait. So why is this the case? Well, the answers come from a recent PlayStation 5 advertisement for the game. This lists the game as a PlayStation 5 console launch exclusive for a period of two years.
Yes, that does read two years. So for Xbox fans, the earliest you could experience Frey’s journey is January 2025 barring another delay. Consequently, that doesn’t guarantee a January 2025 launch, it just means the PlayStation exclusivity has expired and is free to launch on Xbox.
