It’s been some time since the Football Manager franchise was discussed. It’s also a franchise I know well. The series is developed by Sports and Interactive and goes back to the days of Championship Manager in 1992. It’s one series I’ve played regularly over those three decades and we await the next installment of the series. Football Manager 25 was delayed until November earlier this year as well.
However sadly as reported by sites such as Eurogamer the game has been subject to another delay. However, now the game has been pushed back until March next year. This will be a blow for fans and also close to the end of the football season around Europe as well. Although Miles Jacobsen and his team have never compromised on quality. Meaning that like the previous installment, Football Manager 25 will be a worthy addition to the series. If you want more information about the delay, the official statement can be seen below.
What Else We Know About Football Manager 25
The studio formed two years after the release of the original game. So this meant this new release would have marked the thirtieth anniversary of Sports Interactive. Sadly the delay changes all that. The series is getting a huge revamp and according to an interview with Miles Jacobsen with Eurogamer, we see the following.
The social media screen is out; the data chalkboard is out; modes such as Create-a-Club, Challenge Mode, Versus Mode, Fantasy Draft are out too, with returns lined up for some of those over time.
In fact, he says “FM25 is not a continuation of FM24” So this next entry is deemed the next generation of the series. Also as we told you a while ago the women’s game is now making its debut in the series. So with a huge revamp and face lift the studio clearly feels the release isn’t ready for it’s usual November release. The game’s full gameplay reveal is set for its unveiling this January as well.
