Different Future is the third expansion for Square Enix’s action role-playing game Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin. Originally launching back in March 2022 with a lot of “chaos” memes on social media. This DLC marks the conclusion of the Stranger in Paradise story. Of course, it was developed by KOEI Tecmo Games in collaboration with Team Ninja. This expansion is available now on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox One X, and PC via the Epic Games Store.
The Different Future expansion adds new characters and enemies. Such as the iconic moogle from the Wanderer of the Rift expansion and the Emperor from the Final Fantasy series. Players gain access to additional careers, such as the Musketeer, Hunter, or Gambler, by completing story missions. The expansion also adds new weapons and improvements to the blacksmith, allowing players to craft and level up certain items with the addition of “manikin materials”.
The Digital Deluxe Edition of the game includes the Season Pass, which grants access to the Different Future add-on at no additional cost. Additionally, the pass also includes the Trials of the Dragon King and Wanderer of the Rift DLC packs, which can be purchased separately for $24.99. Stranger of Paradise, Final Fantasy Origin has an average review score of 3.7 out of 5 stars on the Xbox store. Also a 4.5 out of 5 average rating on the Epic Store.
