TGS is hours away, as of the time of writing. With so many rumors running around it’s hard to know what to be excited for. Well for Xbox fans a great leak came early in the morning (Japan time.) As screenshots, of the Final Fantasy Pixel remaster collection is coming to Xbox.
The leak is more of a possible too-soon update to the dashboard. As it came from a screenshot of a home page on someone’s Xbox. Now this comes hours before the Xbox showcase at TGS; where the announcement was suggested or guessed to have been made.
Now it has been quite some time since the remaster was originally on all other platforms. The game was originally released back on April 19th, 2023. However, after the recent launch of Final Fantasy XIV on Xbox. Previously Phil Spencer and the new President of Square Enix, Takahashi Kiryu, pledged to commit to a stronger relationship. This could be a part of that commitment to bring their titles and catalog to the platform.
Now this is still early so be looking out for a potential confirmation tomorrow during the Xbox TGS showcase. Until then, if this is accurate, the platform will now have almost all mainline titles, barring the recently released XVI and the VII remake series. However, those could potentially not be too far off.
