The wait is over! Patch 7.1 for Final Fantasy 14 is now available. Adequately named “Crossroads”, this update brings with it a whole slew of new content to the Dawntrail expansion, including:
– A new quest.
– New activities.
– Updates aimed at PvP and housing.
And this is just the beginning – more goodies await us in the following weeks!

What to Expect in Final Fantasy 14 – Patch 7.1
On top of the new Crossroads scenario quest in Final Fantasy 14, there are additional allied society quests. Additionally, here’s what you can expect in terms of new activities:
- A New 24-Player Alliance Raid – Echoes of Vana’diel – Jeuno: The First Walk.
- A New Dungeon – Yuweyawata Field Station.
- A New Trial – The Minstrel’s Ballad: Sphene’s Burden.
- An all-new Unreal Trial – The Jade Stoa. You Face off against Byakko, one of the Four Lords, at level 100.
- Duty Support Additions – Support for the non-main scenario quest dungeon Halatali will be implemented, with further additions in the future.

There is also added replayability for main scenario quests, job quests, and role quests from Patch 7.0. Player housing now includes the ability to select interior designs from different residential areas, regardless of the location of the plot, and new interior designs that will be added. For the hardcore PvP folks, multiple Crystalline Conflict maps and PvP action changes have been reworked. There are updates for the Hall of the Novice that include training for a wide range of different battle mechanics. Plus, new NPC voiceovers were added to Doman Mahjong.
You can expect Square Enix to roll out more content for the game starting November 26th. This will include a new Ultimate Raid and more quests. You can find a more in-depth breakdown here.
