There has been a lot of anticipation at the return of Fatal Frame. A classic in the survival horror genre, it has been exclusive to Nintendo since 2008 with the Wii exclusive Mask of the Lunar Eclipse. So fans and myself were excited that when they announced a Remake of the WiiU exclusive Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water. And Koei Tecmo has confirmed that Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water launches digitally on October 28th.
Alongside a release date, we got more information on a Deluxe Edition of the game. The Digital Deluxe edition will include a copy of the game, a digital artbook, and a classic costume set. The classic costume set is inspired by the protagonists of previous entries in the series.
And for users that purchase the game within its first two weeks of launch; will receive a special Ryza costume based on Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout. Along with the announcement came a new 4-minute overview trailer. This provides some information to the setup for Maiden of Black Water seen below:
Where and When is it coming?
While being an enhanced version of the much overlooked WiiU version, Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water, will also be a multiplatform release.
