The Division 3 Confirmed to be in Development by Ubisoft Division 3: A Risky Proposition for Ubisoft’s Future My Hero Ultra Rumble – A New Battle Royale Game Based on My Hero Academia Phantom Blade: Executioners Brings Fast-Paced Dark Fantasy Action to PlayStation and PC This November Spider-Man 2 Release Update As Launch Draws Near

It’s been a while since we saw a new Far Cry title with the sixth game launching nearly two years ago now and its main predecessor just celebrated its fifth anniversary. I’ve recently been playing again to help a friend finish off the game and even now I can say with passion these games can hold their own. The question I want to ask us as gamers and Ubisoft in general is “Where next for the franchise?” We’ve seen Ubisoft take another loved and historic franchise back to its roots on a smaller scale with Assassin’s Creed Mirage. On the other side, we can still see big and massive Ubisoft open worlds with Avatar Frontiers of Pandora and Star Wars Outlaws.

It may be time for a change in Far Cry as the loved franchise is under a new head. That is writer and narrative designer Drew Holmes who as VGC reports has previously been Narrative Lead for the franchise. He said it had been an “exciting few months” and then revealed he had been recently promoted. His new position he stated was as “IP Director of Far Cry at Ubisoft”. He further added they have big things in store.

The Future Of Far Cry. What We Could See?

As we’ve seen, Drew Holmes is no stranger to the franchise and is a great choice to take Far Cry into a new future. We know he’s been a narrative lead and that was most recently on the fifth game and spin-off sequel New Dawn.

There is no official announcement on a seventh installment as yet or a spin-off title for the 6th game. Though we have seen Ubisoft recently cancel a lot of titles Far Cry 7 and a multi-player project seem to be safe. This is reported in Insider Gaming by Tom Henderson. Drew Holmes also has narrative experience outside of Ubisoft. In his long career, he has worked with Volition on the first three games in the Saint’s Row franchise. Not to mention he was also the narrative lead on Bioshock Infinite. A game that a lot of people consider to be the best in the series and one of the greatest plot twists in gaming. It does look like that without a doubt the series, the games, any projects involving Far Cry, and anything to come next will be in safe hands. Stay tuned for more from Lv1 Gaming!
