Fallout is an iconic game franchise that started life in a very different way from what it is today. The game launched way back in 1997 meaning this year is the Fallout 25th Anniversary. It also played very differently from what we know today. When Black Isle Studios and Interplay were involved, we had an isometric camera angle to the gameplay. Then in 2007, we saw the franchise become part of Bethesda. Now thanks to the Microsoft acquisition it’s a Microsoft-owned product.
Fallout’s 25th Anniversary is being celebrated not only by Bethesda themselves but by Amazon. Not the company you expect to celebrate twenty-five years of one of the biggest and most well-known post-apocalyptic titles. However, that’s exactly what the company is doing. Bethesda has been doing things all year and next year they are upgrading Fallout 4 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. We are even waiting on an ambitious fan mod for Fallout 4 in Fallout London.
How Amazon Plan To Celebrate The Fallout 25th Anniversary
This month Amazon Prime Gaming is giving away Fallout 76 on PC and it is very much worth looking at for all gamers. What you need to do is sign into your account and get the code for your free copy. This then can be redeemed onto the Microsoft store on your PC. This ends today, however, that’s not all they are offering. Throughout November, Amazon is also giving free a copy of Fallout: New Vegas. Not only that it is the Ultimate Edition of the game. It’s very interesting that Amazon are seemingly offering more than Bethesda itself at this point. Nonetheless, it’s nice to see such a milestone for such a well-loved franchise really being celebrated.
