Fall Guys is a game that appeared in the Lv1 Gaming top 10 of 2020 list back in September. It was also to receive ports due this summer for both Xbox consoles and the Nintendo Switch.

As of today, this turned out to be sadly not the case. Following the recent acquisition by Epic Games, they have been able to add much more than originally planned. This meant the release window of this Summer was too soon.

They announced the following on their website explaining the decision:

With so many new opportunities now in our hands, we’ve realised that our previously announced Summer 2021 Switch and Xbox release schedule is unfortunately just too soon for us to include all of the tasty new features we’re working on.

While we want to launch on these platforms as quickly as possible, we believe the Switch and Xbox releases are really going to be worth waiting for and we’re super grateful for your patience.

Whilst this is bad news for those waiting for this, they did offer good news which the delay allows them to add cross-play to Fall Guys. So when they release on the Xbox console family and Switch, players can compete with existing PC and PS players.
