Gamescom 2022 has started and it is an in-person event. Already plenty of surprise announcements have been made. The show opened with a first look at a game from a former Rockstar Games president. That is Leslie Benzies, he was a key figure in the franchise many love which is GTA as well as being involved with Red Dead Redemption. The new game in question is an open-world game called Everywhere. So let’s take a look at his new project with Build A Rocket Boy.
So it is clear to see that Everywhere, looks and sounds ambitious. Everywhere has also been in development for a while and looking at the trailer it’s hard to work out what exactly we are going to get. We seem to have a mix of genres in a multi-world adventure. It is also said to be very much in the vein of Ready Player One. For those who do not know it is a book about a futuristic world where everything is done in VR.
We have very little to go on. We have a realistic world mixed with a more cartoony one and not much in terms of gameplay. Adam Whiting from Build A Rocket Boy spoke on stage and said that we would see more about the game in the coming months. Not only that but it will supposedly be playable next year. It is not clear if the game will be a full launch or a beta.
