LV1 Gaming had the opportunity to make it to Las Vegas for LVL UP Expo 2026. This event brings together all fandoms, including cars, esports, wrestling, trading card games, cosplay, and especially video games. From BattleBots to Tekken 8 tournaments, there was something for everyone. While we were there, we had the awesome opportunity to check out The Media Indie Exchange (The MIX) area that was filled with playable indie games, and some of the developers were available for interviews.
We got hands-on with the latest entry into the roguelike survivors genre, DVD Survivors. Developed and published by Signal Spike Games, you take control of the old-school DVD logo from the iconic screensaver. High-intensity combat, loads of synergistic abilities, and enough accessibility options to make the game playable for almost anyone.
DVD Survivors Key Features
- You Are the DVD Logo — Play as the legendary bouncing DVD icon and survive waves of chaotic digital enemies as you ricochet around the screen.
- Hands-Free Movement, Full Build Control — The DVD Survivor moves and bounces automatically. Your job is to craft broken builds, trigger evolutions, and survive the chaos.
- Bullet-Heaven Roguelike Action — Fight through escalating swarms of pop-up ads, crypto miners, error windows, cookie banners, Clippo, and other cursed desktop nightmares.
- The Screen Is the Arena — Walls, edges, and especially corners change the flow of every run. Use screen geometry to your advantage.
- Corner Hits Matter — That perfect corner bounce isn’t just satisfying anymore — it can completely change the run.
- Stack Wild Weapon Synergies — Collect weapons, combine upgrades, and discover absurd builds that absolutely should not work… but somehow do.
- Fast 8-Minute Runs — Designed for quick sessions with relentless “just one more run” energy.
- Built for Chaos Enjoyers — Perfect for corner-chasers, build experimenters, and anyone who treats their second monitor like entertainment.
If you are looking for a game to easily put a lot of hours into, DVD Survivors may be the game for you. It is available now on Steam for $4.99, and it has an extensive demo to play.
