Dr. Dre Is Recording Music For A GTA Game. But Which One?

Dr Dre

Dr. Dre is a name that should be familiar to nearly everyone. You don’t even need to be a fan of hip-hop/Rap to know the name. Now it seems his music is going to be part of a GTA game. The big question would be which one could it be. Coming soon is an upgraded release for Grand Theft Auto 5 along with remasters for Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas on the way in a couple of weeks all part of the GTA Trilogy The Definitive Edition.

The source of the story

This news comes from Rolling Stone magazine, and more specifically an interview with Snoop Dogg. In the next episode of Rolling Stone Music Now which airs on the 29th of October, this is what Snoop Dogg said.

I do know he’s in the studio. I do know he’s making great fucking music. And some of his music is connected to the GTA game that’s coming out. So I think that that will be the way that his music will be released, through the GTA video game.

Snoop Dogg on Dr Dre recording music for GTA

Rockstar has refused to comment. We also have heard of nothing new in the franchise officially other than the trilogy remasters and the GTA V upgrade. Dr. Dre hasn’t released anything in nearly a decade so would these be a surprise release. A GTA 6 would be the game you’d expect new material. However, at the time of writing, Rockstar hasn’t confirmed this. It also may not be announced for some time. Noone on his side has left any comment either. So all we have is what Snoop Dogg told Rolling Stone. Also if he’s recording it now is it too late to appear in the trilogy.

What do you make of this news? As always we’d love to hear your thoughts on this.
